Everyone wants to get rid of scars. No one likes to watch an imperfection sitting on the skin forever. According to Wikipedia,

Since Wikipedia said that every wound results to scarring, I think it is impossible to avoid having one. The only problem is how to get rid of scars after the wound has finally healed. At present, there are many products available in the market that is made to reduce or get rid of scars. It is easy to get rid of scars when it is still new. Older scars may take time to lighten. Prevention is better than cure. This adage holds true about scars. When the wound is not yet healed make sure to keep it clean to avoid infection. Apply a topical antibiotic cream on the wound; doing so can help reduce scar formation. Apply Vitamin E. Vitamin E contains healthy properties that can smoothen out collagen, which is a structural protein found in scar tissue. Applying Vitamin E to the area can help get rid of scars by keeping the skin soft and moisturized.
Massage scars using Cocoa Butter. Religiously apply cocoa butter to the scars while giving soft strokes to the skin. Studies show that massaging can help get rid of scars with the help of cocoa butter. This method may not completely remove the scar, depends whether it is an old or new scar, but it can show positive results.
Over-the-counter Creams. The growing number of individuals looking for answers on how to get rid of scars encouraged manufacturers to produce products that will help solve the problem. Today, you can choose to different brands and kinds of OTC creams specifically made to get rid of scars. And because of the tight brand competition, some company offers get-your-money back deal if you are not happy with the result after using it for a given time frame.
Medical treatments and/or Procedures. If scars are severe, it is advised to visit your doctor or dermatologist. No matter how you try to get rid of scars there are some of them that can’t be erased or removed. And you have to accept it.
